The weather side of the house was peeling badly and had to be stripped. An American Indian originally from
Arizona named Reese spent months with an infrared stripping unit and some chemical stripper getting it off. He
worked up on a scaffold, sometimes in weather more than 105 degrees and never complained.
I didn't have him do the bargeboard trim, and did that later myself, using the man-lift that I still had from the
roof work.
Here's a couple of pictures of Reese stripping, me in the lift painting, and some pictures showing the condition
of the bargeboard trim.
I filled the fissures with WoodEpox from Abatron, but didn't do a great job of stripping the jigsawed trim, so
I'll have to go back when I have more time and redo it.
