Across Center Street from the Parish-Paugh House is the old Briggs house. We
purchased this house from the Grijalva family in 2005. It had been home to
the family since the late 1940's. It was built in 1854 and is believed to be the
oldest house in Jackson. I'll be chronicling the restoration of this house
in the next few months. If you're an old house watcher, check in for
updates.
