About Jerry and Jeanette Chaix
Jeanette and I were married in 1957. We had four children and now have 4 grandkids. I was a
computer programmer/systems Engineer from 1967 until I retired in 1999. Jeanette owned
her own business and was a breeder of showdogs from the mid 1960's until now.
We found the Voss house in 2002 when visiting some of my high school friends that had moved
up to the gold country, and fell in love with the house and the area. Five of my great grandparents
were in the area by 1850, and one great-great grandparent, so I've always been interested in the
history of the area. We had restored a couple of houses before and had always loved the gothic
revival style, and this house was so well documented and preserved we decided to do a complete
restoration.
Here we are all duded up for our son's wedding
